The History of MoreFlavor!

MoreFlavor! is the largest supplier of homebrewing and winemaking supplies. Morebeer.com is the most visited homebrewing supply site in the world. Our Pro divisions service over 3000 commercial breweries and wineries. Our wholesale division Brewmaster sells to 1500 resellers worldwide. We manufacture equpment under top brands such as Torpedo Keg, Brewbuilt, Komos, and CellarScience.

Started in a 10x10 shed in 1995 we were one of the first shops online in 1997. We were founded, and continued to be ran by Olin Schultz, Darren Schleth and Chris Graham who are passionate about these hobbies. Here is our history....

 - Our company is started as Beer, Beer & More Beer™ on April 1rst, 1995 by Olin Schultz and Darren Schleth. They purchase a few thousand dollars of supplies from wholesaler Brewmaster Inc., a company they would later buy, and Olin begins filling orders out of a 150 square foot shed that was in the back of Darren's house. Many of our first customers still remember pulling up in the gravel driveway and walking around the house to pick up their brewing supplies.

 - Our very first customer Regan Dillon retires from his corporate job and joins Beer, Beer & More Beer™ as a partner. Regan Dillon had a history building all-grain brewing systems for customers in his garage.  We begin building what he terms BrewSculptures™, which are some of the first commercially available all-grain homebrewing systems available. Darren is now welding BrewSculpture™ in his garage.

 - We outgrow the shed, Olin's parents garage, Darren's garage, and any other nook and cranny and move the business into a legitimate warehouse. Chris Graham, a long time customer, quits his paying job at NCR and joins the business as a partner and begins to tackle our IT mess of doing business online in the early days of ecommerce.

 - We introduce the first commercial line of stainless steel conical fermenters designed for homebrewers. Stainless steel conicals become the dream fermenter of choice for most homebrewers. We design Wort Chillers with the coils at the top, changing the way most wort chillers are now made. We purchase Fermentap a manufacturing and wholesale company.

 - Well... the very first thing we did in 2000 was to clear out one of our warehouses and throw an amazing millennium party! We also produced the first full color homebrewing supply catalog. We also started selling supplies and ingredients to make wine after we ourselves start making wine from amazing local fruit. Wine, Wine & More Wine and another passion is born.

 - We become interested in roasting coffee and Coffee, Coffee & More Coffee is born. We release heated and cooled conical that are able to maintain temperature with 1 degree, bringing commercial level control to the homebrewer.

 - We purchase our Riverside, CA Showroom and begin to learn the challenges of multiple locations.

 - We continually push forward spending a year researching and implementing a new database system. Our customer service reps complain they can no longer answer the phone, "Beer, Beer & More Beer, Wine, Wine & MoreWine, Coffee, Coffee, & MoreCoffee how can we help you"  so we incorporate as MoreFlavor!™ while shortening our brand names to MoreBeer!™, MoreWine!™ and MoreCoffee!™.

 - With Beer, Wine and Coffee products all on one site we split out our websites to MoreBeer.com, MoreWineMaking.com and MoreCoffee.com to allow for a better and more focused shopping experience.

 - Our commercial brands MoreWinePro.com and MoreBeerPro.com are created to sell to commercial wineries and brewers. A Warehouse expansion doubles our space to accommodate growth.

 - Our Los Altos California Showroom opens.

 - Our production warehouse opens doors to repackage ingredients and make beer kits. Controlling the packaging allows us to both offer the best quality and best value ingredients. We rebrand our retail stores as MoreBeer! & MoreWine! combining the best of both websites with amazing local know how and service.

 - We purchase Brewing Techniques Magazine which was an amazing magazine focused on both the advanced homebrewer and the pro brewer. It was just a little before its time.  MoreBeer! integrates 37 issues worth of amazing content into morebeer.com, linking the articles to all related products.  We also do a website  upgrade that features hundreds of new FAQ's, tips, articles and videos all linked to products.  The My Products link in the footer of the site is a quiet innovation that links any item you've purchased from us with all of this information.

 - We open a 30,000 square foot Order Fullfillment Warehouse in Pennsylvannia to serve the Eastern and Midwestern United States with faster service. Now 90% of our customers will enjoy order transit times of 2 days or less. We also expand our Metal Fabrication Shop to 7,000 square feet to meet increased demand and to make even more cool products.

 - We purchase the original wholesaler Brewmaster which first opened in 1971. Brewmaster was our first supplier and we are passionate about the history and brand of this company. Brewmaster is a leader in the distribution of beer and winemaking equipment to retail stores, wineries and breweries on the West Coast.

 - We open our fourth MoreBeer! & MoreWine! retail store in San Leandro, California. We then move five California warehouses into one 90,000 square foot warehouse in Pittsburg, California. Yes, we now have distribution warehouses in Pittsburg, California and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which is a bit confusing. It was a busy year!  Brewmaster announces they will be the USA distributor for Enoitalia, an Italian company making crushers, pumps, fillers, and more.

 - We launch MoreBeer! Pro as an account based wholesaler selling only to Breweries, Cideries, & Distilleries.  MoreBeer! Pro has the largest product offering for commercial breweries from malt and hops to professional conicals and stainless fittings. Over 700 breweries create accounts in the first year. Brewmaster becomes fully integrated into our East Coast warehouse offering a full selection of products to homebrewing and winemaking stores on the East Coast. Brewmaster becomes the exclusive distributor in the USA for Keg King products which include kegerators, Robobrew, and more.

 - Moreflavor! updates all retail sites with "date your order will deliver by" while you are shopping. While that seems a standard in todays Amazon world, most small companies are doing good to tell you the day your order will ship by. We also announce separate deals with Williams Warn and Brewie for Brewmaster to become their USA distributor.

 - We launch MoreWine! Pro as an account based wholesaler selling only to Wineries. MoreWine! Pro offers wineries the widest selection of products available at discounted pricing. MoreBeer! Pro announces a deal with Viking Malt to become their exclusive distributor in the USA. Viking malt is one of the largest malt producers in the world with annual production of around 600,000 tons. Together MoreWine! Pro and MoreBeer! Pro now service several thousand breweries and wineries.

 - We grow rapidly expanding our commercial selection of malt, hops, and equipment. 1 in 4 breweries in the USA now has a pro account with Morebeerpro.com. We expand our East Coast operations in Pennsylvannia adding another 20,000 square feet of space.

Today - Our company is still owned and operated by the original guys, Olin Schultz(CEO and Cofounder), Darren Schleth (CMO and Cofounder) and Chris Graham (President) with the help of all of our amazing employees. There is a common theme that all of us are passionate about flavor. We hope to share that passion with you and we sincerely thank you for shopping with any of our brands.
